Loose Ends

I got an e-mail from our construction rep. today and she said that everything we have done so far has been wonderful and that we are where we should be in the whole process. I am going to State Farm tomorrow to get some things rolling on our home-owners insurance policy because we should be hearing back from the bank any day now about our approval. We just have a few more papers left to sign, another color selections meeting, and then the BIG, final sit down with the actual builders, then we are good to go with the building permit!!! It is just weeks away now folks, we are so excited!!! Thanks for checking in!! More to come...

Hey guys, Pat finally got to use his new chainsaw over the weekend. He cut down the first 10 or so trees to open up the width of where they driveway will be. He did a great job, I must say and was very happy with what he was able to do is just one day. We are going to be sending in the last part of our mortgage application within the next few days, there were a few loose ends we had to tie up before mailing it in. We are now in the process of getting someone to the property to appraise it and then from there it is just waiting until we hear whether or not we were approved for the loan. Our bank representative said that we shouldn't have any trouble at all getting approved because both of us had great credit scores and we turned in all the necessary documents very quickly. So very shortly we will be clearing out the rest of the trees and be on our way. Thanks for checking in, we hope you have enjoyed everything that you have seen so far and we are anxious to show you much more!!

Preliminary Plans...

Well, we went over our preliminary plans, added one more thing, (steps off the back of the porch that will lead into the back yard) and approved the rest!!! So, they were sent back to Harrisburg with our changes and now we just wait to hear back from Bastian. The next time we meet with them will be the BIG meeting before we can break ground. So, we are just weeks away from getting started!!! Once we get approved for our loan, we have to get a home owner's insurance policy and apply for the building permit. As soon as the building permit is in our possession the excavator can start ripping up the soil!!! I will try to get our actual house plans up but don't know how clear they will appear once they are copied. (They are in black and white and the print is very small.) We are off to Lowe's sometime this weekend to pick out all our light fixtures...so wish us happy light fixture shopping...hahaha!!! Thanks for checking in... xoxox, us
